{"id":1110,"date":"2026-03-11T09:43:16","date_gmt":"2026-03-11T09:43:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/stock999.top\/?p=1110"},"modified":"2026-03-11T09:43:16","modified_gmt":"2026-03-11T09:43:16","slug":"heathrow-says-it-is-full-after-busiest-february-daily-business","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/stock999.top\/?p=1110","title":{"rendered":"Heathrow says it is &#8216;full&#8217; after busiest February \u2013 Daily Business"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>            <\/p>\n<p>Heathrow is pushing the case for expansion<\/p>\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">Heathrow Airport is \u201cfull\u201d and has again pressed its case for expansion after experiencing its busiest ever February.<\/p>\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">The airport handled 5.8 million passengers last month, a 1.9% (110,000) year-on-year increase, driven by strong half-term and Chinese New Year travel.<\/p>\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">However, with Heathrow operating close to capacity, the latest ACI data shows passenger growth is now trailing the European average (4.6%).<\/p>\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">The airport continues to advocate for expansion, citing current capacity constraints and the rise of Istanbul as Europe\u2019s busiest airport, which limits passenger choice and competition.<\/p>\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">Heathrow said it is also monitoring the situation in the Middle East and working with partners to support affected passengers.<\/p>\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">Cargo volumes also rose by 4% to nearly 130,000 tonnes, demonstrating its importance as a trade hub.
