{"id":1223,"date":"2026-03-12T13:35:52","date_gmt":"2026-03-12T13:35:52","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/stock999.top\/?p=1223"},"modified":"2026-03-12T13:35:52","modified_gmt":"2026-03-12T13:35:52","slug":"capricorn-confirms-approaches-from-saudi-group-daily-business","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/stock999.top\/?p=1223","title":{"rendered":"Capricorn confirms approaches from Saudi group \u2013 Daily Business"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>            <\/p>\n<p>Capricorn Energy began as Cairn Energy and is still based in Edinburgh<\/p>\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">Capricorn Energy, the Edinburgh company focused on north Africa, has confirmed it has received a number of unsolicited non-binding proposals from a Saudi investment group.<\/p>\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">Alamadiyaf al-Masiyyah, a member of the Cafani Group,\u00a0 has approached the Edinburgh company about a possible all-cash offer.<\/p>\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">Shares in Capricorn Energy, which was launched as Cairn Energy by former Scottish rugby international Sir Bill Gammell,\u00a0closed 6.4% higher, valuing the company at about \u00a3190 million. In early trade today the price fell back by 2.4% to 276.25p<\/p>\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">In a statement to the stock market just before last night\u2019s close, the board said that after discussing the offer with its financial and legal advisers it has provided due diligence access to Alamadiyaf al-Masiyyah. <\/p>\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">Discussions with Alamadiyaf al-Masiyyah are ongoing and the Capricorn Energy board is seeking clarity around its funding arrangements.
