The SA Reit Association, or South African Real Estate Investment Trust Association, has appointed a new chair \u2013 and she is a familiar face in the industry: Jackie van Niekerk, CEO of JSE-listed Attacq Limited, which is driving the massive Waterfall City development in Gauteng.<\/p>\n

She was appointed in July, and the SA Reit\u00a0Association\u00a0announced the move earlier this month. Van Niekerk has been on the show before, but that was three years ago.<\/p>\n
She\u2019s back on the podcast to share insights into her new role and plans for the organisation, and tells us why she believes the industry is well placed to weather further headwinds, including the Middle East conflict and its ripple effects on local fuel prices, inflation and \u2013 consequently \u2013 interest rates.<\/p>\n
