An international cybersecurity group, Integrity360, has launched a new security operations centre in Cape Town, the largest of the 16 locations it operates worldwide.<\/p>\n
The group has locations in Dublin, Stockholm, Madrid, and Rome. The City of Cape Town said it was \u201ca strong vote of confidence in our city\u201d.<\/p>\n
The investment exceeds R55 million and is expected to create approximately 100 additional jobs in time, attracting employees with cybersecurity skills, at a time when South African professionals with such skills are in demand both locally and globally.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe cybersecurity skills shortage is pervasive the world over,\u201d said Martin Potgieter, regional chief technology officer at Integrity360.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe best way to retain our local talent is to give them world-class and market-leading opportunities right here at home.<\/p>\n
\u201cIntegrity360\u2019s investment in a security operations centre is a rare sign of long-term and sustainable growth that benefits both the company and the country it operates in,\u201d Potgieter said.<\/p>\n

City of Cape Town\u2019s mayoral committee member for economic growth, James Vos, who attended the opening said: \u201cInvestments like this bring capital, create jobs and connect our people to opportunities in a growing global industry. We want Cape Town to be the easiest place to do business in Africa.<\/p>\n
\u201cThat means looking at the way we operate as a City and constantly asking: can we make this simpler? Can we make it faster? Can we remove unnecessary barriers?\u201d he said in his speech at the launch event.<\/p>\n

Cape Town became an Integrity360 base two years ago when the group acquired two local cybersecurity businesses \u2013 the Grove Group and Nclose \u2013 between August 2024 and January 2025.<\/p>\n
The new facility will extend round-the-clock monitoring and incident response for customers across Africa and internationally.<\/p>\n

Integrity360 said cybersecurity was more in demand as organisations adopted AI but were also susceptible to AI-driven attacks.<\/p>\n
The group argues cyber resilience, the ability to detect, respond to and recover from an attack, is becoming as important as stopping one in the first place.<\/p>\n
Integrity360, also expanded into North America earlier this year through the acquisition of Canadian firm Advantus360, part of a broader expansion now spanning Europe, Africa, the Caribbean and North America.<\/p>\n
Vos said at the launch event that \u201cCape Town must be a great place to live, a great place to work and a great place to do business\u201d.<\/p>\n
\u201cThat means investing in infrastructure, maintaining the systems businesses depend on and planning ahead for the growth of the city.\u201d<\/p>\n
