Billionaire businessman John Catsimatidis is warning that foreign adversaries will do “anything” to weaken President Donald Trump, while also voicing disappointment with Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney.<\/p>\n

Catsimatidis joined FOX Business\u2019 Cheryl Casone on “Mornings with FOX Business” to discuss national security concerns on the 25th anniversary of the September 11 attacks, geopolitical tensions and what he sees as efforts to undermine President Trump.<\/p>\n

“The evil empire, whether it’s Russia, North Korea, China, Iran, the evil empire will do anything to make sure that they cripple Trump in the Nov. 3 election,” Catsimatidis said.<\/p>\n

The Red Apple Group chairman and CEO singled out Canada, saying he was disappointed in Carney despite describing the prime minister as someone he likes and considers smart.<\/p>\n

“I think he [Carney] feels the same way, that they’re gonna be able to take a bigger advantage of the United States if Trump was crippled,” Catsimatidis said.<\/p>\n

Catsimatidis framed his concerns around Trump\u2019s approach to business and international negotiations, arguing that the president\u2019s dealmaking makes him a target for countries seeking an advantage over the United States.<\/p>\n

“He’s not only a president, he is a businessman,” Catsimatidis said.<\/p>\n

Catsimatidis also reflected on the September 11 attacks, saying he lost four personal friends and a cousin that day. He warned that younger Americans have no personal memory of the attacks and argued that the country must remain vigilant.<\/p>\n

FOX Business’ Lydia Hu reports on Canada’s retaliatory tariffs on U.S. goods, detailing the scope of products affected and their potential economic consequences for both nations. <\/p>\n

“I believe that our country is under attack and that if we don’t keep our eyes open, there’ll be another 9\/11. New York is the target, Washington is the target and we have to be extra careful,” he said.<\/p>\n
