{"id":17830,"date":"2026-10-08T17:35:03","date_gmt":"2026-10-08T17:35:03","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/stock999.top\/?p=17830"},"modified":"2026-10-08T17:35:03","modified_gmt":"2026-10-08T17:35:03","slug":"holographic-pioneer-ceres-acquired-by-zeiss-daily-business","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/stock999.top\/?p=17830","title":{"rendered":"Holographic pioneer Ceres acquired by Zeiss \u2013 Daily Business"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>            <\/p>\n<p>\u00a0Andy\u00a0Travers, CEO of Ceres Holographics signs the agreement surrounded by the Ceres and Zeiss teams<\/p>\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size wp-block-paragraph\">Ceres Holographics, a Livingston-based developer of holographic technology used in car windshield displays, has been acquired by German optics company Zeiss.<\/p>\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size wp-block-paragraph\">The West Lothian firm has spent more than a decade developing its pioneering technology and now join ZEISS Microoptics to accelerate commercialisation.<\/p>\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size wp-block-paragraph\">The deal is seen as an important milestone for a Scottish deep-tech company, with the potential to support further growth and investment in Scotland\u2019s photonics and advanced manufacturing sector. The parties have agreed not to disclose the purchase price or further details.<\/p>\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size wp-block-paragraph\">Roman Kleindienst, head of ZEISS Microoptics, said: \u201cTogether, we will write a new chapter in holography commercialisation, driving faster industrialisation and unlocking broader market entry.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size wp-block-paragraph\">Andy Travers, who leads Ceres Holographics, added: \u201cOver the past years, we have developed significantly differentiated hologram manufacturing technology and established strong commercial momentum, particularly in the field of automotive windshield display applications. <\/p>\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cJoining forces with ZEISS gives us the opportunity to build on that success and achieve greater scale, with more resource and global reach. We are excited about what our combined teams can achieve for our customers with existing and new partners.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size wp-block-paragraph\">Since its establishment in 2009 Ceres has secured over \u00a33m in grants and was seeking Series A funding.
