{"id":19046,"date":"2026-10-26T07:36:58","date_gmt":"2026-10-26T07:36:58","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/stock999.top\/?p=19046"},"modified":"2026-10-26T07:36:58","modified_gmt":"2026-10-26T07:36:58","slug":"burnham-rules-out-eu-referendum-in-this-parliament-daily-business","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/stock999.top\/?p=19046","title":{"rendered":"Burnham rules out EU referendum in this parliament \u2013 Daily Business"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>            <\/p>\n<p>Andy Burnham on GMB: \u2018We need an honest discussion on the EU\u2019<\/p>\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size wp-block-paragraph\">Andy Burnham has ruled out a referendum on rejoining the European Union this parliament and said his only interest is improving the terms of the Brexit deal.<\/p>\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size wp-block-paragraph\">He said the current arrangement means the UK has lost control over immigration and said there is a need for an \u201chonest discussion\u201d about the prospect of returning to free movement between the UK and the EU.<\/p>\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size wp-block-paragraph\">He said that in \u201cin my lifeteime\u201d he would like to see Britain return to the EU, but insisted the British public will make that decision. <\/p>\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size wp-block-paragraph\">Mr Burnham will be heading into discussions next month over Britain\u2019s relationship with the EU.<\/p>\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cIt\u2019s my responsbility to get the best deal for Britain,\u201d he told ITV\u2019s Good Morning Britain. \u201cWe need to be honest about how it has changed things this decade.<\/p>\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cIt is not about re-running the debate. The country has changed.
