Having enjoyed a Costco membership for 20 years, I can tell you there are many things the company does right.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Not only does Costco offer an amazing selection of products at almost ridiculously low prices, but it also makes a point of rotating its inventory to keep things fresh.<\/p>\n
And as a mom whose fridge and pantry are constantly getting raided, I can tell you that I do my fair share of grocery shopping. And often, it’s a chore.<\/p>\n
Costco finds a way to make food shopping fun again, though. Not only do I enjoy exploring the aisles, but it’s also nice to grab some free samples along the way.\u00a0<\/p>\n
And if those don’t cut it, there’s always the food court and its famous $1.50 hot dog deal.<\/p>\n
Costco goes out of its way to please members<\/p>\n
One big thing that sets Costco apart from other retailers is its commitment to customer service.<\/p>\n
I can’t tell you how many times I’ve brought back older purchases only to get zero pushback from customer service, thanks to Costco’s flexible return policy. (To be fair, I don’t abuse it, and I only return items that were never used.)<\/p>\n

In addition, Costco is constantly adapting to meet customer needs.<\/p>\n
In early 2025, the company expanded its fuel station hours. It then followed that up with extended store hours \u2014 and not just for Executive members.<\/p>\n
The early shopping hours for Executive members got a lot of press. But Costco actually extended its Saturday hours for all members, giving everyone an extra hour to shop in the evening.<\/p>\n
Costco is always fine-tuning its practices and policies to better serve customers.<\/p>\n

Costco hardly ever closes its doors to members<\/p>\n
As part of its commitment to great value and customer service, Costco tries not to close to members very often. But the company also recognizes that employees need time off, too.<\/p>\n
That’s why Costco closes seven times during the year. And if you’re wondering whether the store will be open on Easter, the answer is no.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Of course, Costco isn’t the only major retailer to close its doors on Easter Sunday. Competitors such as Target and Aldi will be closed as well.<\/p>\n
Now, you may not be thrilled to hear that Costco is closed on Easter Sunday. But if it’s any consolation, Sunday probably isn’t the best day to shop at Costco anyway.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Costco warehouses tend to be packed on weekends. So rather than get upset about the upcoming closure, plan around it. With expanded hours, that should now be a bit easier.<\/p>\n
