South African Airways (SAA) notes recent media reports referencing historic allegations relating to its acting Group Chief Executive Officer (GCEO), Matshela Seshibe.<\/p>\n
The matter in question originates from Mr Seshibe\u2019s previous tenure outside of SAA and was subject to due process at the time. It was fully considered and conclusively resolved, with the allegations found to be without merit.<\/p>\n

Mr Seshibe is an experienced business executive with over thirty years\u2019 experience in business leadership roles in global companies. He joined SAA as group executive committee (Exco) member and CEO of Air Chefs in 2024.<\/p>\n

In parallel with his responsibilities as CEO of Air Chefs, Mr Seshibe gained airline industry exposure through his active participation in the SAA group Exco, leading group projects, participating in strategy formulation and execution, and broad involvement with various stakeholders and governance structures in the company, including the SAA group board.<\/p>\n
