Geoff Day and Cat Devaney<\/p>\n
The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland (ICAS)\u00a0has\u00a0made two senior appointments to its leadership team.<\/p>\n
Geoff Day joins as executive director of engagement, having held\u00a0numerous\u00a0high-profile roles including director of communications and brand experiences at Mercedes-Benz USA. <\/p>\n
He spent several years in New York as the managing partner of the Jackanory agency and ran his own UK-based agency with a client roster that included BBC television and radio. <\/p>\n
Mr Day joins ICAS from his most recent position as director of marketing and external relations at Edinburgh Napier University.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Commenting on his appointment, he said: \u201cThroughout my career\u00a0I\u2019ve\u00a0worked across a wide eco-system of engagement touchpoints \u2013 bringing together brand, communications, development, digital and stakeholder relationship building.\u201d<\/p>\n
Cat Devaney CA has been promoted from director of professional qualifications to executive director of learning.\u00a0<\/p>\n
With 20 years at ICAS, she most recently led the development and delivery of the new CA qualification and student experience as part of a three-year learning transformation \u2013 an industry first that ICAS pioneered in shaping\u00a0a new approach\u00a0to\u00a0training\u00a0Chartered Accountants.<\/p>\n
In her new role,\u00a0Ms Devaney\u00a0will build on this market-leading work while spearheading the introduction of\u00a0new training products designed to\u00a0engage\u00a0a broader audience.<\/p>\n
She said:\u00a0\u201cI\u2019m\u00a0looking forward\u00a0to\u00a0adding\u00a0real value\u00a0having experienced the ICAS journey first\u2011hand,\u00a0from\u00a0being a CA student to shaping how we train CAs,\u00a0I\u2019m\u00a0proud to\u00a0take on this role.<\/p>\n
