{"id":5729,"date":"2026-05-07T03:50:18","date_gmt":"2026-05-07T03:50:18","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/stock999.top\/?p=5729"},"modified":"2026-05-07T03:50:18","modified_gmt":"2026-05-07T03:50:18","slug":"tesla-recalls-over-218000-vehicles-over-delayed-rearview-camera-images","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/stock999.top\/?p=5729","title":{"rendered":"Tesla recalls over 218,000 vehicles over delayed rearview camera images"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img src=\"https:\/\/static.foxbusiness.com\/foxbusiness.com\/content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/tesla-cars-218k-recalled-vehicles.png\" \/>     <\/p>\n<p>Check out what&#8217;s clicking on FoxBusiness.com.<\/p>\n<p>Tesla is recalling more than 218,000 vehicles because of \u200cdelayed rearview camera images that could increase the risk of \u200ba crash, the National \u200bHighway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) announced on \u2060Wednesday.<\/p>\n<p>A total of 218,868 Model 3, Model Y, Model \u200cS \u2060and Model X vehicles are affected by the recall.<\/p>\n<p>The vehicles include the 2021 Tesla Model Y, 2022 Tesla Model Y, 2023 Tesla Model Y, 2023 Tesla Model 3, 2021 Tesla Model 3, 2022 Te<\/p>\n<p>sla Model 3, 2020 Tesla Model Y, 2022 Tesla Model X, 2022 Tesla Model S, 2021 Tesla Model S, 2023 Tesla Model X, 2023 Tesla Model S, 2021 Tesla Model X and 2017 Tesla Model 3.<\/p>\n<p>FORD RECALLS OVER 179,000 BRONCO AND RANGER VEHICLES OVER SEAT DEFECT<\/p>\n<p>Tesla is recalling more than 218,000 vehicles because of \u200cdelayed rearview camera images. (Shen Chunchen\/VCG via Getty Images \/ Getty Images)<\/p>\n<p>The impacted vehicles feature hardware version 3, which Tesla stopped producing in January 2024.<\/p>\n<p>According to the NHTSA, the \u200brearview camera display in impacted \u200bvehicles may be delayed when the car is put into reverse, which hurts \u200bdriver visibility.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Loss of the rearview camera image may affect the driver\u2019s rearview and increase the risk of a collision,&#8221; the NHTSA said in its recall notice. &#8220;The driver may continue to reverse the vehicle by performing a shoulder check and using their mirrors.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>A total of 218,868 Model 3, Model Y, Model \u200cS \u2060and Model X vehicles are affected by the recall. (Brandon Bell\/Getty Images \/ Getty Images)<\/p>\n<p>Tesla said there have been no reports of collisions, fatalities or injuries due to the rearview camera issue, but there have been 27 warranty claims and two field reports that may be connected to the problem.<\/p>\n<p>Stocks In This Article: <\/p>\n<p>The company said it will issue a free over-the-air software update to customers. The faulty software is version 2026.8.6.
