New images have been released alongside a planning application to regenerate Glasgow\u2019s neglected Chinatown area.<\/p>\n
Keltbray Chinatown Developments \u2013 the joint venture between Keltbray Developments and the owner of Glasgow Chinatown \u2013 announced the \u00a3160 million plan last November.<\/p>\n
The Chinatown complex opened in 1992 as a hub for shopping and dining and the proposals aim to revive the 4.4-acre site on New City Road in line with the Cowcaddens District Regeneration Framework.<\/p>\n
The scheme has been designed by Hawkins\\Brown, with CBRE appointed as planning agent and includes spaces for events, markets and cultural celebrations.<\/p>\n
Two public consultations attracted 127 attendees and feedback demonstrated strong support for the regeneration of the site.<\/p>\n

Alongside CBRE and Hawkins\\Brown, the project team brings together significant regeneration, design and technical expertise, including SLR Consulting, Woolgar Hunter, Henderson Warnock and Hollis.<\/p>\n
