{"id":7141,"date":"2026-05-25T17:01:35","date_gmt":"2026-05-25T17:01:35","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/stock999.top\/?p=7141"},"modified":"2026-05-25T17:01:35","modified_gmt":"2026-05-25T17:01:35","slug":"5-housing-markets-where-home-price-cuts-are-most-common-right-now","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/stock999.top\/?p=7141","title":{"rendered":"5 housing markets where home price cuts are most common right now"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img src=\"https:\/\/static.foxbusiness.com\/foxbusiness.com\/content\/uploads\/2026\/02\/home-construction-phoenix-arizona-getty-1.jpg\" \/>     <\/p>\n<p>Housing and Urban Development Secretary Scott Turner joins \u2018Mornings with Maria\u2019 to discuss rising mortgage rates, cutting housing regulations and the Trump administration\u2019s push to boost affordable homebuilding.<\/p>\n<p>The housing market remains hot in much of the country, with rising prices creating affordability concerns for would-be buyers \u2013 though some markets are seeing sizable amounts of price cuts over the last month.<\/p>\n<p>Data from Realtor.com found that nationally, the share of active listings that carry a price reduction was at 16.7% in April \u2013 a figure that is elevated compared with historical trends but is actually lower than a year ago as prices trended toward an equilibrium.<\/p>\n<p>Several markets across the Sun Belt and Mountain West regions have seen price cuts more frequently than the national average, the data showed.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Put simply, homes are not moving in these markets,&#8221; said Realtor.com senior economist Jake Krimmel. &#8220;That&#8217;s down in part due to ample supply but also anemic demand at current prices and interest rates.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>ONE TYPE OF PROPERTY IS QUIETLY SAVING AMERICANS THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS<\/p>\n<p>Price cuts for listed homes have declined nationally in the last year but remain elevated, including in some major metro areas. (iStock\/Getty Images Plus)<\/p>\n<p>Two of the metro areas also led Realtor.com&#8217;s report about major markets with price cuts in April 2025, as Phoenix and Tampa had 31.3% and 29.3% of listings with price cuts last year, respectively.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Why are these metros continually topping this price cut list? It&#8217;s likely part unrealistic expectations and part wishful thinking, but price reductions do mean sellers are getting the message loud and clear,&#8221; Krimmel said.<\/p>\n<p>Here&#8217;s a look at the five housing markets where price reductions were the most prevalent in April.<\/p>\n<p>THESE 8 US HOUSING MARKETS FAVOR BUYERS<\/p>\n<p>Phoenix-Mesa-Chandler, Arizona     <\/p>\n<p>Phoenix led the list of metro areas with price cuts.
