JSE-listed sectional-title developer Balwin Properties made a big announcement last week \u2013 proposing to take the group private \u2013 with the backing of the Public Investment Corporation, or PIC.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s an interesting move and follows Balwin\u2019s results released earlier this month. We are not speaking to Balwin\u2019s founder, Steve Brookes \u2013 who has joined us on the podcast before and hopefully will again soon \u2013 but rather to a long-time follower of the stock.<\/p>\n
He is a well-known small-cap market commentator and analyst, and someone I have been trying to get on the podcast for several years: Anthony Clark, founder and independent analyst at Small Talk Daily Research.<\/p>\n
Clark shares his views on Balwin\u2019s decision \u2013 whether it is a positive or negative development \u2013 and considers whether Calgro M3 could be next. He also discusses AdvTech, another company he covers in the private and tertiary education sector, which has a substantial property portfolio.<\/p>\n
