{"id":7734,"date":"2026-06-02T10:28:35","date_gmt":"2026-06-02T10:28:35","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/stock999.top\/?p=7734"},"modified":"2026-06-02T10:28:35","modified_gmt":"2026-06-02T10:28:35","slug":"kganyago-vows-to-get-inflation-rate-back-to-3","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/stock999.top\/?p=7734","title":{"rendered":"Kganyago vows to get inflation rate back to 3%"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><\/p>\n<p>South African central bank Governor Lesetja Kganyago promised that officials will lower the inflation rate back to its 3% target despite headwinds from the Iran war.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cLet there be no doubt, the South African Reserve Bank will be getting inflation back down to 3%,\u201d he said in remarks prepared for delivery to a conference hosted by the Bureau for Economic Research on Tuesday in Johannesburg. \u201cI hope our history of delivering on our targets makes that promise convincing.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Kganyago and his colleagues last week raised borrowing costs by 25 basis points to 7%, delivering the first rate increase in three years as inflationary pressures intensified after the start of Iran war. We take our decisions meeting by meeting.
