Dewar makes switch to RBC Brewin Dolphin – Daily Business

RBC Brewin Dolphin has hired Alisdair Dewar from Coutts & Co to replace Johnny McGlynn as head of the Edinburgh office.

Mr Dewar has spent 30 years in financial services beginning with Royal Bank of an moving to Adam & Co before becoming head of Scotland and north west England at Coutts.

Lucie Gordon, managing director and head of northern region at RBC Brewin Dolphin, said: “Alisdair has a proven track record of leading wealth management, business development and banking teams.

“His extensive experience and leadership skills will be invaluable as we continue to grow and strengthen our presence in Edinburgh.”

RBC Brewin Dolphin’s Edinburgh office is the largest outside London, employing more 250 staff.
