New ofices at 55 Douglas Street

Sky is taking office space in Glasgow city centre following its decision last year to scale back its call centres across the UK.

The broadcaster and broadband company will occupy 26,184 sqw ft over two floors of 55 Douglas Street.

It joins existing tenants including Reach publications the Daily Record and Sunday Mail, which occupy the entire first floor.

Diana Foxlee, Director of Sky Spaces said the move is expected in late May.

CBRE and JLL are joint letting agents. Martin Speirs, director at CBRE, said: “The move to 55 Douglas Street is fantastic news for Sky and its people.”

The move comes a year after Sky announced more of its customer service operations were moving online and that it would close three centres in England and scale back others in Dunfermline and Newcastle, while investing in its Livingston facility.
