Now SAA’s acting CEO Seshibe on ‘special leave’

2 min read

Just four months after being appointed acting Group CEO of state-owned airline South African Airways (SAA), Matshela Seshibe has been placed on “special leave”.

The SAA board confirmed the move in a brief statement late on Friday afternoon, without giving reasons for the action. Seshibe – who headed SAA’s AirChefs division previously – became acting CEO after the sudden resignation of former CEO Prof John Lamola in April, together with three board members.
