Johann Rupert’s luxury goods company Compagnie Financière Richemont SA has appointed Anton Rupert as non-executive co-deputy chairman of its board, effective immediately, the company announced on Wednesday.

Rupert will serve alongside Bram Schot, who was appointed to the role in 2024. The two executives will share responsibilities, with Rupert overseeing the Maisons’ strategic product and communications committee, the company’s prestigious luxury brand houses, including Cartier, Van Cleef & Arpels, and IWC Schaffhausen, and Schot handling board governance matters.

“This appointment is an important step in the board’s long-term succession planning,” chair Johann Rupert said.
