Geddes said Shavdia’s experience in insurance and wider financial services operations would support the Syndicate’s leadership team.

“Hina’s reputation as an outstanding leader, a builder of high-functioning teams and her extensive industry expertise in managing insurance and wider financial services operations make her an invaluable addition to our senior leadership team,” said Geddes.

At Volante Global, she also established and chaired an executive committee-sponsored Global Change Board aimed at driving strategic change and accountability. Before that, she spent four years at AXIS Capital as global head of business change, where she built a global change capability.

Shavdia said her focus would be on establishing the operating model and capabilities needed to support the Syndicate’s growth.
