Why we love this deal

When we talk about essential products, tools definitely fall under that category. They might not be the most exciting purchase you make, but they come in handy whenever something in your home needs a bit of maintenance. There are the big jobs that require professionals, but sometimes, when it’s a loose hinge, a crooked cabinet door, or furniture that needs installing, a drill will do you just fine — plus, it’s far more affordable than calling in an expert. With the holidays coming up, you’re even more in need of a hefty set of tools to hang decor, and the HDJ Cordless Drill is on sale right now to help you with home inconveniences and holiday hanging.

The $40 drill, which comes with an accessory kit, is on sale for 33% off as part of a Walmart Flash deal. Save a bit of money and get a great, reliable tool that doesn’t take up a lot of space but will offer you help in spades for just $27.

Why do shoppers love it?

Powerful for all types of drilling activities, the lightweight 3.37-pound drill has a high-performance motor that drills through wood, aluminum, and even steel. It has a 25+1 position clutch, which means there are 25 distinct torque (twisting force) settings for driving things like screws, along with a dedicated setting for drilling, along with 3-in-1 functions, allowing the drill to also operate as a screwdriver and hammer drill — three functions for the price of one.  Powered by a rechargeable lithium-battery, of which you get two with your purchase, this drill has a two-speed transmission, one that goes 0-350 revolutions per minute (RPM) for driving purposes, and one that goes 0-1500 RPM for drilling. This two-transmission allows you to adjust for different applications and materials. It can drill up to 28 millimeters in wood, 12 millimeters in aluminum, and 12 millimeters in steel.

It utilizes a ⅜-inch auto-lock keyless chuck, which allows you to quickly change drill bits by hand without a key and automatically locks the bit into place to prevent slipping. The lightweight and compact handheld features an LED worklight to enhance visibility in dark corners or areas and a forward and reverse switch with a safety lock. It comes with a carrying case along with 28 drill heads and bits to swap out for different projects.

Shoppers like that it’s a great at-home tool that you can use even if you’re not super savvy with tools in general. “It does the job for smaller home stuff and won’t break the bank,” one shopper said.
