Beeks Financial Cloud Group, a software developer for financial markets, has announced that former chairman Mark Cubitt has stepped down as a non-executive director after nearly 10 years on the board.
Mr Cubitt joined Renfrewshire-based Beeks ahead of its IPO in 2017 and served as chairman until December 2024. During his time on the board, Beeks has increased revenues tenfold since its IPO to £40 million in its last financial year.
It has expanded internationally, providing cloud infrastructure and analytics to some of the world’s leading financial institutions and exchanges.
The company does not currently intend to appoint a replacement for Mr Cubitt.
Gordon McArthur, chief executive, said: “Mark has been alongside us since before the IPO and has played an important part in helping Beeks become the business it is today.
“We have greatly valued his advice and support for what we wanted to build. It has been a pleasure working with him over the past ten years, and he leaves with our thanks and very best wishes.”
Mr Cubitt commented: “It has been an honour to be part of Beeks’ journey. Seeing the business grow from its early days before the IPO to working with some of the world’s leading financial institutions and exchanges has been hugely rewarding.
“I leave the board with Beeks in its strongest position yet and with every confidence in Gordon and the team’s ability to make the most of the opportunity ahead.”
