Tshwane CFO Gareth Mnisi suspended
1 min readGareth Mnisi, the beleaguered CFO of the City of Tshwane, was placed on precautionary suspension during a council meeting held behind closed doors on 15 April.
This comes two days before he is due to testify before the Madlanga Commission of Inquiry into allegations of criminality, political interference, and corruption in the criminal justice system.

Mnisi was implicated in testimony by Sergeant Fannie Nkosi, a member of the Gauteng Organised Crime Unit, for allegedly sharing information about Tshwane tenders in an apparent effort to determine the outcomes.

The suspension is for three months with full pay, during which the metro will institute disciplinary procedures.
