Rovtech has appointed Callum Lamont as chief operating officer, strengthening the company’s leadership team as it accelerates growth across international energy and industrial markets.
Mr Lamont has experience in offshore operations, project delivery and client management, having held senior roles with Fugro and ROVOP.
He will be reunited at Rovtech with CEO John Lamont, the pair having worked together earlier in their careers.
Rovtech is a specialist engineering company designing and manufacturing robotics, tooling and equipment for the world’s harshest environments, supporting critical operations across the nuclear and subsea energy sectors from bases in Aberdeen and Barrow-in-Furness.
Mr Polson said: “Callum’s appointment is another major step forward for Rovtech. He understands exactly what clients need because he has spent his career delivering in demanding environments.
“He brings real operational credibility, strong leadership and a relentless focus on customer support. As we continue to grow, his experience will help ensure we scale the right way – with quality, reliability and service at the centre of everything we do.”
Rovtech and its next-generation VALOR platform were recently acquired by Ventex.
