Mayor Cyril Xaba reaffirmed that Durban’s infrastructure and strategic location make it the ideal host for an event of this scale.
“The City’s strategic location, well-developed infrastructure, and warm climate continue to position Durban as a destination of choice, whether for business or leisure,” Mayor Xaba stated during the launch.
The city expects a substantial economic boost from the influx of visitors, which will drive spending across the hospitality, transport, and retail sectors. The Indaba will begin with a Business Opportunity Networking Day on 11 May, followed by three days of intensive trade engagements designed to promote African destinations and forge new global business partnerships.
