Why we love this deal
When I choose a watch, I usually have three main factors in mind. The first is how it looks. First impressions are everything, and that goes for timepieces as well. Second, I’m interested in functionality. Is the design of the watch practical and legible? Finally, I want to know what’s under the hood, so to speak. Watch movements vary greatly in technology and quality, and it’s important to me that my watch is being powered by a movement that I can count on. Luckily, I found a Timex Indiglo pilot-style watch at Walmart that seemed to meet all those requirements, and I simply had to buy it.
The Timex Waterbury White Dial Chronograph is available at Walmart for $134, but it’s worth far more than that in my opinion. That’s actually 21% lower than the manufacturer’s suggested retail price of $169.

Why do shoppers love it?
The first thing that drew me to the watch was its beautiful crisp white dial. While there are printed Arabic numerals around the edge of the dial and both the Timex and Waterbury logos at the 12 and 6 o’clock positions respectively, it doesn’t look cluttered. The three chronograph sub-registers are all equidistant from the dial’s edge and provide the perfect balance of visual appeal and practical usability. I absolutely love the subtle gray tone of the numbers and the broad sword-style hands. This gives off plenty of traditional pilot’s watch vibes, and I can’t get enough.
As for functionality, how much time have you got? For starters, the chronograph function is silky-smooth, and it’s highly convenient for timing everything from hard boiled eggs to my little one’s timeouts. The pushers are large enough that they’re easy to use and have enough tension that I never accidentally push them.
There’s also a nicely finished date window at the 4 o’ clock position that makes keeping track of your calendar a breeze. Perhaps the most special feature of all is Timex’s proprietary Indiglo technology that allows you to light up the dial and read the time, no matter how dark your environment may be. It might be the most useful function on any watch I’ve ever owned.
Walmart’s $134 Timex chronograph is my go-to watch, and it has a convenient light-up feature (1:01)

As for the watch’s internals, it utilizes a Timex quartz-regulated chronograph movement. It’s a highly accurate option that keeps better time than most mechanical watches. It’s also very efficient, especially when the chronograph is not engaged. You should only need to change the battery every few years under normal use circumstances. It’s a robust movement that you can depend on 24/7.

The Timex Waterbury White Dial Chronograph almost immediately became one of my go-to daily watches. The fact that you can get so much for $134 is pretty hard to believe. If you get one for yourself, you’ll see exactly what I mean.
