Product design agency Filament has merged with software development consultancy Arceptive, creating an internet-of-things product development agency.
The tie-up formalises existing collaboration on a number of projects and will double their combined turnover over the next two years with 29 employees.
Both companies are based at Skypark in Glasgow and have worked with startups through to multinationals, as well as government agencies, on a range of engineering developments.
Gregor Aikman, Craig Lynn, and Danny Kane set up Filament in 2015, while Arceptive was founded four years later by Stefan Raue and Cham Abeyratna.
Mr Kane said: “We can see the benefits of bringing the businesses together – it will help us be more cost-effective, innovate more quickly, support a broader range of clients.”
Mr Raue, who is head of data and analytics at Arceptive, added: “Filament and Arceptive have been delivering projects together for years – we know how each other works, we share the same standards and we’ve already proven what we can do together.
“Bringing the two organisations together under one roof simply means we can do it faster and better.”
