Why we love this deal

Having the right lighting in your home’s backyard is more important than you may realize. Not only does it set the mood, but a good set of string lights can also help boost your property’s overall security. If you’re lucky enough to find a set of solar-powered lights, then they can also save you a bit of money. That’s because you won’t have to spend extra on your monthly electricity bill as you would with standard plug-in lights. We found a set of lights at Amazon that’s half off right now, and we think this deal is a shining beacon for smart shoppers.

If you’re looking for a great set of lights at a discount, then the Btfarm Crystal Globe String Light 2-Pack is the right choice. Although it’s only $7 off, finding a set of solar lights for under $20 is a steal in itself.

Why do shoppers love it?

These string lights offer a totally new look and feel for your backyard and patio, which is a tall order for a $13 product. However, they pass the test with flying colors, thanks to solid construction, convenient technology, and great looks. The strings and lights are made of a rubberized polyurethane that’s able to withstand year-round exposure to the elements. The lights have an IP65 waterproof rating, making them a great option for 24/7 year-round use. Each of the two included strings is 49 feet long and has50 bulbs on each string. It’s a great set for lighting up your entire patio in a hurry.

In addition to the solid build quality of these string lights, they’re a great example of easy-to-use patio tech. Both strings come with their own small solar panel that gets staked into the ground. They include an 8-foot wire as well, so it should be easy to find a place on the ground for each panel. The panels gather energy from the sun throughout the day and use it to power the lights all night long. The bulbs can stay lit for up to 10 hours on a single day’s charge. That’s enough to make it all the way to sunrise on most nights. They have eight different lighting modes, so you can switch between them easily, depending on your specific needs that night.

The LED bulbs have a pleasant warm glow, unlike many fluorescent-style LEDs that come with lesser products. Each bulb housing has an attractive shatter effect that diffuses the light and makes the set look far more expensive than it is. This is the epitome of mood lighting, and knowing that you got them for 50% off won’t hurt your mood either. The set is available in three colorways, including the aforementioned soft white, multi-colored, and blue.

Amazon shoppers were thrilled with the quality of these string lights. One called them “exactly what I was looking for,” before praising the “perfect sized bulbs” and the fact that they’re “solar powered.”
