Alcohol-free brewer Jump Ship Brewing has raised investment from angel syndicate Mint Ventures.

Founded in Midlothian by Sonja Mitchell Jump Ship will use the undisclosed funding to scale production as demand for premium alcohol-free beverages continues to rise.

Gillian Fleming, managing director of Mint Ventures, said Jump Ship had developed a strong brand identity to make it a “standout player” in the alcohol-free craft beer space.

“We see enormous potential for growth both domestically and internationally and will support them by tapping into our members and wider network expertise.”

Ms Mitchell said Mint Ventures’ purpose-driven approach to investing “perfectly matches our own inclusive values, and I’m excited to have their support as we scale Jump Ship, growing distribution of our award-winning alcohol-free beers across the UK and beyond”.

Mint Ventures is supported in part by the British Business Bank as part of a programme to support and accelerate the development of female-led angel syndicates across the UK.
